    Roposo Shoot : Part 2

Ahoy- hoy, and merry Tuesday to you!

This post is in continuation of my last post for Roposo.  For my Indian look – I was asked to work around indo-western look. I am not a very indo-western sort of person. I’ve always liked  Indian and Western styles separately. I took it as a challenge and so for this look I decided to wear a brocade lehenga (from my sangeet) with a linen white shirt. Honestly, I couldn’t find anything else to wear with this lehenga. Like I mentioned in my last post – I didn’t want to buy anything new for these shoots. I wanted to use what I already have.  And thats why I had no option but to go for this white shirt, which worked well, I think. While doing this shoot, I  also realised it’s a good way of wearing your wedding lehenga again without looking overdressed! I hope you guys enjoy this look 🙂

    ROPOSO SHOOT!

My favourite season is finally here, hoorayy! I love October, but its been one crazy month that was full of opportunities and I loved every bit of it. One of the really interesting things that happened was – I won a free photoshoot with Roposo. For those who don’t know what it is – Roposo is a social network to share your looks, discover new trends and follow creative people. I was really excited about this shoot because it was also going to be my first professional photoshoot. Along with me, there were three fellow bloggers who won as well and  I knew them before, so it was going to be a lot of fun for sure. So each of us were given 2 themes ( western and Indian). For western, I had to work around layering using summer essentials as winter layering pieces (favourite). And the most exciting part for me was that we had to do this from our own wardrobe. I look it as a personal challenge and decided to not buy anything new for the shoot. I decided to do this because I’ve come to realise that it’s a never ending cycle (hah, yes) It never ends. You always want to buy more and you never have enough clothes. I really really believe in working around with what I have as far as I can. It boosts my confidence in terms of – a) I trust my choice of clothing more b) It helps me stick to what I like and not fall for trends c) It makes me a conscious buyer d) I don’t end up spending crazy amounts of money. I mean when you have access to all the brands and more importantly if you can afford them – 80% of the job is done. Right? You don’t have to use your brain much to dress up well.

Anyway, coming back to the look – so I chose to do this look with a black skirt, my jack daniels t-shirt (that I absolutely love) with a denim jacket and ankle length boots. I didn’t buy anything new and I was pretty happy with my look. Here are a few pictures, I hope you like them. img_8040-1 ROPOSO SHOOT!
